September 2018.. From the main man..
My fellow Clubbers..
Looking forward to the Autumn term!
Remember to bring your term's £50 in an envelope marked with your name to keep Ray, our Treasurer, happy, and of course for weeklies please bring the exact cash or it will mean detention.
See the RRC Schedule page for the term programme, culminating with the Christmas dinner on 4 December. Rob McKeith has kindly agreed to take on the organisation of the dinner so please approach him with any questions.
We (ie Joe almost exclusively until now) have done well in securing speakers by approaching them at gigs to see if they’d fancy an afternoon in TW1. If you come across someone who you think might be willing to do a session for us, please feel free to ask them if we could email them details of what we do. Pass on the email address to me and I will take it from there. Although we have a substantial “back catalogue” of speakers who we’d be happy to have back, we’re always going to need fresh faces, and it will spread the load if our members can suggest names from time to time – as some already do.
Remember we have added a contact form. If you have any juicy jazz news to give us, album recommendations or future gigs you've come across, do fill in the form. It will wend its way to Jo Elwin, who will post it on our 'Interesting Stuff' page for you all to share and give added joy to your jazz experience. If you would like to comment on any post, just click on 'comment' beneath the particular post and fill in the form, and it will appear. To see any comments on any posts, look below the post and click on 'comment'.
I look forward to seeing your shining faces next Tuesday at the usual time and place.
PS If you have lost interest in the RRC and don't want these emails any more, let me know and I will take you off the list.
